Use the BBO tournament-specific PARTNERSHIP DESK. (Available 2hours or less before each tourney)
Click on our tournament and instead of typing in the name of your partner, click partnership desk (menu, top mid- right)
and then Click "Add your name" or select a partner from the list

If you're having problems with MISCLICK, there are 2 options, either one of which will help you avoid erros.

Choose the <account> tab from the right hand side (on laptop/desktop)

EITHER turn on  confirm bid and confirm card

OR Keyboard entry for bidding/play
 

Add a synopsis of your CONVENTION CARD in your profile. Click account ( down right hand side of screen) type in your short version under the heading other under your 'real' name.

See you'rs and opp's CONVENTION CARDs  click on the big blue menu button. Will give the option of viewing convention cards if any have been set.

If you're having PROBLEMS with CONNECTION or MIS-CLICKS your machine may be overloaded. Clear out any programs and websites which are still open. If this doesn't solve the proble, inform the director that you will be leaving for a while and re-boot your machine. You can be re-seated when you get back,  In future, reboot your machine before playing.

 

Keep your hand well away from the screen, I’ve played so many cards and made unintentional bids accidentally, and can see no way to retract the card or the bid. - For Undo, click the blue menu button on the top left but it makes life easier if you're careful

I lost Connection on Monday, so immediately I realized what had happened I closed the app, then opened it again and logged on again. I was taken back to my seat. This was all done within about 1/2 to 1 minute.

If you're still having trouble, and no-one else seems to be Reboot your machine.

Click on the Alert Explain bid window until it disappears. It can be infuriating as Declarer because it will go one side and then a different version on the other. It's when it's on the RHS that it will disappear after cliicking

To get RESULTS at end, go to Tournaments. Select finished from the tab at top. Click on our tournament (can't remember who told me that).

To see RUNNING RESULTS, click the history tab one the right hand side.

CALL DIRECTORr   is in the menu - Blue button with three white horizontal lines top-left-hand corner .

 

You ALERT your own bid in the bidding box provided, when it's you turn to bid. Complete the dialogue before you make your bid. Your partner doesn't see this, but the ops do. Please don't use table chat

If you forget – not unusual  - click the display of your bid and you will get a second chance of explaining your bid to the ops.  No need to alert your partner's bid. S/he will be doing it.

 

Table talk is not acceptable.   

Comments like “I'm getting rubbish hands” gives too much information.   Stay quiet and just bid (or not).

 

Dont ask what a bid by opponents means during the bidding UNLESS you need to know to enable you to make your correct bid. I always thinks this could help the ops, but it can also make it difficult for your partner to bid/ lead when he has 'possibly' unauthorised information about your hand.   A full explanation of the bidding can be asked for after contract has been set.

If ALERT a bid then your bid comes up with a red border around it.
