Getting Club members Online During Covid-19
We are running a Townsville tournament on BridgeBase.com (BBO) to coincide with the times of a normal bridge game at the club (except Wednesday evg). Select BBO Information for access to our User Guide, list of usernames and other useful information.
Create a user on BBO (if you haven't one already) and tell me (Audrey Ledbrook) that username so I can enter you into the Townsville Tournament list and you can play. Please play a casual game or two on BBO to get familiar with it. You can get by knowing very little and you'll pick up Tips and Tricks along the way. By the way there will be a prize of a free game at the club (when this is all over) for the best entry to Tips and tricks. We all want to learn. And now select an option from the BBO menu at the top. Happy BBOing!

PLAYING ETIQUETTE
You alert your own bid in the bidding box provided when it's you turn to bid. Complete the dialogue before you make your bid.
If you forget – not unusual - click the display of your bid and you will get a second chance to explain your bid to the ops. No need to alert your partner's bid. S/he will be doing it.
Table talk is not acceptable.
Comments like “everyone has passed so I suppose I have to bid” gives too much information. Stay quiet and just bid (or not).
Dont ask what a bid by opponents means during the bidding UNLESS you need to know to enable you to make your correct bid. A full explanation of the bidding can be asked for after contract has been set.
The UNDO option is in the menu - button is in the upper right-hand corner (blue with three white horizontal lines) It is for operator finger trouble, not concentration lapses.
